The British Organ in the 19th Century

GOArt and the Academy of Music and Drama at the University of Gothenburg are proud to announce a new two-year Masters Program in Organ and Related Keyboard instruments.
This new Master’s Programme will focus on the organist as a solo and chamber music artist! The programme will give both breadth and depth to organ soloists and is open for those with a bachelor’s degree in music.
This Master’s programme is aimed at those who are interested in continuing their organ studies at an advanced level in order to work as a soloist or chamber musician on the organ and its related keyboard instruments.
Your main focus can be either interpretation or improvisation, advanced-level teaching, careers within the Swedish Church and other denominations (as an advanced degree to work within church music) and/or research within the art of the organ and its related keyboard instruments. This education will be offered in English.
Applications can be submitted via www.studera.nu from the the 15th of March to the 15th of April, 2011. The entrance examinations will be scheduled for May and June. More information will follow.
